Charlton House is the atmospheric country house hotel privately owned by Roger and Monty Saul, founders of the luxury design label, Mulberry. The property dates back from c1630 and was first mentioned in the Doomsday Book. Guests to the house are given the warmest of welcomes and the most memorable of stays. The house is relaxing and tranquil with a richly designed theatrical interior, twenty five individually designed bedrooms, a celebrated award-winning restaurant and a new opulent spa offering a range of restorative treatments and therapies for the mind body and spirit. The Restaurant is the jewel in the crown of Charlton House. The menu features fresh, imaginative dishes using the finest West Country produce available, including Sharpham Park farm produce from Roger's estate. The wine cellar does justice to his passion for the grape and includes over 12 wines by the glass. Stately Hotel(1960)housed in a former residence with grey stone facade dating from 1608. On going restoration using imaginative mix of fabrics and furnishings creating a sense of theatre, originality and wit. The house features 25 luxurious bedrooms. The Orangery can be used in its entirety to accommodate a theatre style presentation of up to 90 delegates or a dinner party for up to 60 guests. Alternatively, it can be subdivided to create the Boardroom and Garden Room for smaller events. . The Boardroom will accommodate up to 12 guests on one large table for a stunning dinner party or boardroom meeting and has a lovely view onto the terrace and walled garden beyond. . The Garden Room features four sets of oversized French windows giving access onto the terrace and providing lovely views of the gardens.
