The Greenway is a country house hotel situated just outside Cheltenham nestling in the golden glow of the glorious hills of the Cotswolds. Taking its name from the pre-Roman path, which runs beside The Greenway, the building dates from its construction in 1584 and represents a fine example of an Elizabethan manor house. Set in a garden of national renown, the manor house became a hotel in 1947 and successive owners have since ensured that The Greenway has retained its historic features and charming character. Furnished with fresh flowers and antique furniture, our hall, restaurant and public rooms offer our guests a combination of sophisticated elegance and rural informality. Our twenty-one bedrooms are individually furnished to very high standards, many boasting high quality original antique furniture and all boasting stylish en-suite bathrooms. The Greenway offers extensive and charming hotel and catering facilities for wedding ceremonies and receptions, business meetings and conferences, training courses, holidays and short term romantic breaks and weekends. The Greenway is an excellent base to explore the Cotswolds and visit Cheltenham Spa, Bath, Stratford-on-Avon, the Shakespeare Country around Stratford and Oxford.
